講座概要

精神疾患は我が国でも5大疾患の一つとして医学の主要な領域の一つを占めており、精神医学はどの科を専攻する医師にとっても必須の臨床医学です。精神医学の基礎を系統的な講義で学び、臨床実習によって精神科臨床を学びます。

特徴的な臨床の取り組み

臨床面は附属病院の外来診察と閉鎖病棟での入院治療を行っています。また、緩和ケア、周産期精神医学などさまざまなコンサルテーション・リエゾン精神医学におけるメンタルケアにも取り組み、加えて精神科救急医療を実践しています。

被災地のこころのケアとして岩手県こころのケアセンター、岩手県災害派遣精神医療チーム（DPAT）の活動において先導的な役割も担っております。　

自殺対策や災害支援、地域精神保健などの社会精神医学など多岐にわたる精神科領域で活動を行っており、他大学や研究機関との共同研究にも取り組み、成果を県内外のメンタルヘルス対策の社会実装につなげています。精神医学に興味のある人材を求めています。

教授挨拶

神経精神科学講座神経精神科学分野では、精神医学と医療の発展を目指して、教育、研究、診療を基盤にして、活動に取り組んでいます。臨床は統合失調症、気分障害、不安症、摂食障害、認知症など幅広い領域を対象にして、外来、病棟、精神科救急を基盤として対応を行ってきました。精神科救急から急性期治療、多職種協働によるチーム医療、地域との連携という幅広い診療体制の基盤にたち、医学部生、初期臨床研修医、そして後期研修医の教育にも取り組んでいます。精神科専門医の養成に加えて、さまざまなサブスペシャリティ領域の研修機関にもなっています。時代のニーズに応えて、周産期精神医学や緩和ケア、移植医療、肥満治療、老年期など精神医学と多領域との共同で取り組んでいます。また、岩手県は精神科医療過疎地域で地域の精神科病院と連携し、さまざまな地域課題に対して医療の普及、ネットワーク化に取り組んでいます。さらに地域精神保健との協力により推進していく必要性から、地域の人材養成にも取りんできました。東日本大震災後の中長期のメンタルヘルス対策や災害精神医療チーム（DPAT）をはじめとした、地域精神保健医療への地域貢献活動を行っています。精神医学と精神科医療に関心のある方の参加を心よりお待ちしています。
