講座概要

放射線医学は、CT、MRI、核医学、超音波、単純X線撮影などを用いた画像診断と、画像診断技術を応用して低侵襲治療を行うIVR（Interventional Radiology）を二つの大きな柱としています。

本講座では、これらの診療に必要となる基礎的な知識と技術を身につけるとともに、豊富な症例を通じて、画像診断およびIVRの実践的な能力を養成しています。また、放射線腫瘍学分野と連携し、画像診断から放射線治療を含むがんの集学的治療まで、幅広く学ぶことができる環境を整えています。

さらに、院内のさまざまな診療科と連携し、心臓・血管領域を含む幅広い分野の画像診断やIVRに取り組んでいます。加えて、医療DXの推進やAIを活用した画像診断支援、診療情報の有効活用にも取り組み、より質の高い診療と効率的な医療の実現を目指しています。

特徴的な臨床の取り組み

本講座では、先進的な画像技術と低侵襲治療を臨床に取り入れ、診断精度の向上と患者負担の軽減に取り組んでいます。

画像診断領域では、深層学習を用いた画像再構成技術をCT・MRIに応用し、低線量CTにおける画質向上やノイズ低減、肺がんCTの描出能向上、心臓MRI検査の高速化と心機能評価の信頼性向上を進めています。また、CT画像の自動解析による臓器容積の定量化など、画像情報を診断や病態評価に活用する取り組みにも力を入れています。

IVR領域では、血管内治療をはじめとする低侵襲治療を幅広く実践し、まれな血管性病変を含む多様な疾患に対して、画像診断に基づいた安全で適切な治療を提供しています。

教授挨拶

岩手医科大学放射線医学講座では、画像診断、IVR、核医学を柱として、安全で質の高い医療の提供に取り組んでいます。放射線医学は、診断から治療まで幅広い診療領域に関わるとともに、医療技術の進歩を臨床へとつなぐ重要な役割を担っています。

人材育成においては、放射線科専門医および各領域の専門医資格、さらに学位の取得を積極的に支援しています。豊富な臨床経験と研究活動を通じて、専門性に加え、幅広い視野と課題解決能力を備えた、全国で活躍できる放射線科医の育成を目指しています。

また、320列CTや超高精細CTをはじめとする先進的な画像診断装置を積極的に導入し、高度な診療と臨床研究を実践できる環境の整備を進めています。AIを活用した画像診断支援、画像再構成、定量解析などの新しい技術にも取り組み、その成果を日常診療へ還元することを重視しています。

さらに、今後の医療に不可欠な医療DXの推進にも力を入れています。診療情報を安全かつ円滑に共有し、医療の質と効率を高めるためには、組織やシステムの違いを越えて情報を活用できる標準化が重要です。本講座では、次世代の医療情報交換標準であるHL7 FHIRと、その国内実装の基盤となるHL7 FHIR JP Coreの策定・普及にも参画し、画像診断情報を含む医療情報の標準化と相互運用性の向上に取り組んでいます。

先進的な画像診断、低侵襲治療、核医学、AI、医療情報標準化を相互に結び付けながら、地域医療に貢献するとともに、未来の放射線医学を担う人材と新たな医療技術を育てていきたいと考えています。
