講座概要

当講座の診療では、上部消化管、下部消化管、肝胆膵、内分泌・代謝（甲状腺、副腎、肥満症）、乳腺、および小児外科の各専門領域が横断的に連携しています。「低侵襲手術」、「分子解析による個別化医療」「内外合一による包括的全身管理」という三つの柱を軸に、常に最先端の知見・技術を柔軟に取り入れながら最高水準の医療を提供しています。

現在3機種の手術支援ロボット（da Vinci Xi、hinotori、Hugo）を運用し、各領域において高度で精緻な低侵襲手術を安全かつ積極的に展開しています。また、大学病院の使命としてAcademic Surgeonの育成や県内外科技術の向上・教育にも注力しております。次世代を担う外科医の育成と地域医療への貢献を通じて、岩手から全国、そして世界へ発信できる教室として、外科学のさらなる発展に寄与してまいります。

特徴的な臨床の取り組み

高度な外科治療として以下の診療・技術導入を積極的に推進しています。

1. 脳死および生体肝移植
2. 腹腔鏡下ドナー肝切除
3. 腹腔鏡下およびロボット支援下肝切除
4. 前胸部アプローチによる甲状腺切除術
5. 肥満症・2型糖尿病に対する減量・代謝改善手術
6. 胃癌に対するロボット支援下胃切除術
7. 根治切除および化学放射線療法の適応とならない食道癌に対する放射線・腫瘍  溶解ウイルス製剤（スラタデノツレブ）併用療法
8. 骨盤内臓全摘術に対する経会陰的アプローチを用いた低侵襲手術 
9. 新生児に対する内視鏡外科手術
10. 気膀胱下膀胱尿管逆流症手術（年齢問わず）
11. 術後再発早期発見を目的としたctDNAモニタリングを用いた大腸癌治療 

教授挨拶

外科は、科学的探求（Science）と医術（Art）の高度な融合を通じて、患者さんの生命と人生を直接支える未来ある医療分野です。時代の変革とともに外科学の未来は無限の可能性に満ちています。

当講座では、年間1,100件を超える手術の中で、低侵襲な内視鏡外科手術やロボット支援手術を積極的に導入・推進しています。一方で、生体および脳死肝移植をはじめとする高難度手術にも教室を挙げて取り組んでいます。さらに、高度救命救急センターとの強固な連携のもと、患者さんの全身を診ることができる卓越した技量と判断力を備えた外科専門医を育成しています。情熱を持った多くの若い力が集い、私たちと共に外科学の未来を切り拓いてくれることを心より期待しています。
